Library Club

The Library Club provides practical hands-on training and mentoring to our pupils on the relevant skills knowledge and dispositions required of librarians. In addition, they will be given opportunities to play the role of actual librarians. They will not only learn how to recommend books to library-users based on reading levels and age groups, but also in writing good book reviews. These skills and knowledge acquired will be useful in pupils' personal development.

ACJC Junior Lexis Masterclass

The Speech and Drama Club pupils participated in the Anglo-Chinese Junior College’s Junior Lexis 2019 in Term 1. To engage primary school students from schools across Singapore in the art of debate, the 3-day Masterclass aimed to equip pupils with basic analytical tools and to hone their oratorical skills. The sessions focused on the fundamental elements of debate necessary to lay down a solid foundation for our budding debaters. It was an eye-opening experience for our pupils as they partook in the discussion of important issues that the world currently faces and learned how to craft a good debate under the guidance of the Debate and Oratorical Society’s experienced debaters. Using the skills they have learned, our pupils pit their skills against their opponents and debated away with confidence. It was definitely a fruitful experience for the Speech and Drama Club pupils!
