Discipline Policy
1. The goals of discipline are to develop self-disciplined and reflective students.
2. The school believes that enforcing good discipline is part of its responsibility to inculcate good character and values in students. The success depends greatly on the understanding and co-operation from parents/guardians of the students.
3. The school takes an educative stand towards discipline. Investigations will be carried out by teachers, Year Heads and/or the Student Management HOD to gather facts to ensure fairness to all parties involved.
4. Any student who commits an offence will be counselled and guided to reflect on their misbehaviour and practice alternative acceptable behaviour(s).
5. Types of Offences:

6. A general misconduct/ unacceptable behaviour would be deemed as a serious offence when a student commits the act frequently and recalcitrantly.
7. All serious or repeated offences will be assessed by the school to determine the consequences for the offenders on a case-by-case basis.
8. Examples of consequences
It may include one or more of the following consequences:
• Involvement of police and/or external agencies
• Caning
• Suspension from class/school
• Detention after school
• Compensation (for vandalism and theft)
• Verbal warning
• Fair or poor conduct grade
• Corrective work as service to school/ community
• Suspension of recess playtime
• Counselling and reflection
• Removal from representing school in competitions/events
• Suspension of awards and/or sponsored overseas school trips
