Prohibited Items
a) All students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapons. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like items which can be used or intended to be used to cause harm to others.
b) Students are not to bring any recreational items like toys and game cards to school. Selling of items to peers is also not allowed.
c) Unauthorized electronic, communication, entertainment, or gaming devices capable of capturing, storing, displaying and/or transmitting visual, audio, or verbal information are not allowed in the school at all times. These include mobile phones, cameras, tablets, and smart wrist watches. The school will not be held responsible for the loss of these items.
d) During school hours, emergency calls can be used in the General Office/school’s public phone.
Parents/Guardians can also leave urgent messages for students by contacting the General Office.
Hence, it is not necessary for students to bring mobile phones to school for such purposes.
e) Should students be granted the permission to bring mobile phones under special circumstances, they are fully responsible and accountable for the safekeeping of the mobile phones. The school will be not responsible for the loss or damage to the mobile phones. They must adhere to the following guidelines and ensure responsible use of the mobile phones:
• Strictly to be switched off during lessons and/or other school activities.
• Only to be used outside the school premises after dismissal from school.
• Only for communicating urgent matters with family members.
• Not allowed during examinations.
f) Non-adherence to the above guidelines will result in the special permission being revoked, and the confiscation of the mobile phones and/or any other unauthorized electronic devices. These items may also be subjected to investigations. Disciplinary actions will be taken against students for irresponsible and/or inappropriate use of these devices. Any confiscated item will be returned to the parents/guardians at an appropriate time.
